If one of the few benefits of this period is not having to bother with hairstyling and makeup, then all power to you. But many of us feel better for the sense of structure and normality these beauty routines bring. Here we bring to you some lockdown beauty tips to help you stay your glowing best during quarantine too!

1. Show some TLC to dry and irritated hands:

With all the washing and sanitising hands are getting drier than ever so don’t forget to apply hand cream after every wash. At night, mix some extra olive or avocado oil into the cream, slather on and cover your hands with cotton socks overnight.

2. Make an all natural home face-mask:

If you want to nourish your face with non-greasy moisture, half a mashed avocado with a teaspoon of honey works fine (slather on and leave for 15 minutes before removing with a wet flannel). Adding a tablespoon of fresh plain yoghurt can impart an extra glow.

3. Give yourself a home manicure and pedicure:

Follow these 5 simple steps for gorgeous feet and hands! Firstly prep your nails by removing old nail polish, clip and file them. Next, soak your feet/hands in a tub of warm water, rock salt and some essential oils. Thirdly, scrub and exfoliate, fourth step is to moisturize them and fifth glam up your nails.

4.Exfoliate once a week:

Exfoliate body and face on a weekly basis. Mix half teaspoon of semolina with 1 teaspoon of gram flour and a pinch of turmeric. Keep in an airtight container. You can use this pack on the entire body before taking a bath. If you have oily skin, add rose water to this mix. For normal skin, use curd and for dry skin, use mustard oil. This will remove the dead skin and improve the circulation.

5. Water And Sleep – Get More Of Both!

These particular tips are as old as time, but that’s because they work! Make sure you drink the recommend 8 glasses of water per day. It will improve the look and feel of your skin, provide better mental clarity and even help you to lose weight! Setting a reminder on your phone every 2 hours will help you to achieve your goal.The same can be said of getting enough sleep, between 6-8 hours of sleep each night will help you to look and feel more bright and refreshed.
